FAQs

Q1. What types of facilities is the KOKOBOTS S76 best suited for?

The S76 is designed for commercial carpeted environments and mixed-use interiors where you need frequent deep cleaning - such as hotels, casinos, offices, convention centers, airports, retail spaces, schools, and healthcare facilities. It’s especially useful for lobbies, corridors, meeting rooms, and public carpet zones where appearance and hygiene matter.

Q2. Can it clean both carpets and hard floors?

Yes. The S76 is built for carpet-first deep cleaning (steam + extraction workflow), and it can also support hard-floor cleaning workflows using its included squeegee / vacuum configurations depending on your package and setup. Many teams use it primarily on carpeted areas and schedule separate routines for hard floors as needed.

Q3. How much area can it clean on a typical shift?

The S76 is rated up to ~16,000 sq. ft/hr under ideal conditions. Runtime depends on cleaning intensity and workflow, but many sites plan it for routine zone cleaning (e.g., lobbies + corridors + event carpet) during overnight or off-peak windows.

Q4. What kinds of messes can it handle?

The S76 is designed for everyday carpet soil (dust, tracked-in dirt, hair, crumbs) plus deeper embedded grime using steam. It can also address common stains with its stain-removal workflow and optional handheld tool. It’s not a replacement for emergency spill response - large liquid spills should be handled immediately by staff for safety.

Q5. Does it sanitize with steam?

It uses high-temperature steam cleaning as part of its HydroSteam workflow, which helps reduce contaminants and improve carpet hygiene versus dry vacuuming alone. Facilities often deploy it as a “deep clean + refresh” system for high-traffic carpet.

Q6. Is it safe around people and obstacles?

Yes. The S76 uses a multi-sensor navigation stack (LiDAR + cameras) for obstacle detection and avoidance. It can slow, stop, or reroute around people, carts, and temporary obstructions - making it suitable for public spaces, though most facilities schedule heavy steam passes off-peak.

Q7. How is maintenance handled?

Day-to-day tasks are straightforward: staff typically empty waste/collection tanks, refill clean water/detergent, inspect brushes and squeegee components, and do a quick visual check. The design is intended for routine service without specialized tools.
Hero LifeCare can also provide ongoing service plans that cover consumables, preventive maintenance, and support.

Q8. What infrastructure is required (water, drains, power)?

Most deployments use a workstation/dock for charging and servicing. Depending on your configuration, the workstation may connect to standard facility utilities (power, and in some setups water/drain support). At minimum, you’ll need a dedicated parking area near power; facilities that want maximum automation typically place the workstation near a utility area for easier refill/empty routines.

Q9. How loud is it during operation?

Noise levels are generally appropriate for commercial environments, but because this is a steam deep-cleaning robot, many sites schedule the most intensive cleaning for overnight or low-traffic hours, and use lighter maintenance passes during operating hours where appropriate.

Q10. How hard is it to train staff and fit it into existing cleaning routines?

Most teams can learn basic operation quickly. Typical onboarding includes mapping, setting zones/schedules, and teaching staff how to start/stop jobs, refill tanks, and perform basic checks. After setup, the S76 runs scheduled cleaning while staff focus on spot checks and edge/detail work.

Q11. What support and service options does Hero LifeCare provide?

Hero LifeCare can assist with site assessment, deployment planning, mapping, staff training, and ongoing support. Monthly service plans are available for full unit care, helping standardize performance and uptime across multiple locations.

Q12. Can it be managed remotely across multiple locations?

Yes. Enterprise deployments typically include cloud-based management features for scheduling, monitoring, and fleet oversight (package dependent). This is especially useful for organizations that want consistent cleaning across multiple buildings or campuses.

Q13. Can the KOKOBOTS S76 integrate with elevators or building systems, and does it support APIs?
Yes - S76 deployments can support multi-floor workflows by integrating with elevators, doors/gates, and access-control systems when the facility infrastructure allows it. Elevator integration is typically done through an approved elevator OEM interface (where available) or building middleware/access-control integration so the robot can request access, ride to the correct floor, and continue its scheduled routes safely.

For APIs, enterprise deployments can enable integration for remote monitoring, scheduling, reporting, and fleet management through the robot management platform. Direct API access is usually handled via enterprise integrations and/or an approved integrator rather than a public self-serve developer API.
