  • Scrubbing/Dust Mopping: 3,367–7,535 sq. ft/hr*

Artificial Stone (engineered quartz, terrazzo): Phantas uses smart pressure control and soft brush systems that make it safe for polished, synthetic surfaces. Its scrubbing and vacuum modes help remove dust, stains, and debris without damaging finishes.

Granite and Natural Stone: Granite is durable but can be scratched or stained by abrasive tools or acidic cleaners. The Phantas is designed for non-abrasive, moisture-controlled scrubbing, making it a safe option for sealed granite floors and other natural stone types, provided the surface is properly maintained.

*These figures represent the robot's maximum capabilities under ideal conditions. Actual performance may vary based on factors such as floor type, layout complexity, and obstacle presence.

1. Product Overview & Application

Q: What is the Gausium Phantas and where is it typically used?

A: The Phantas is a compact, all-in-one commercial cleaning robot designed for dynamic indoor environments such as offices, retail stores, hotels, schools, and lobbies. Unlike heavy industrial machines, the Phantas is engineered for tight layouts with narrow aisles, under-table cleaning, and areas with high foot traffic.

Q: Can the Phantas be used outside?

A: No. The Phantas is strictly an indoor cleaning robot. It is designed for climate-controlled commercial environments and should not be used on rough pavement, loading docks, or areas exposed to rain, snow, or direct sunlight.

Q: What types of floors can the Phantas clean?

A: The Phantas is incredibly versatile. It is suitable for hard floors (tile, marble, vinyl, epoxy, hardwood) and, depending on the configuration, it can also clean short-pile carpet. It features a unique 4-in-1 capability: it can scrub, sweep, vacuum, and dust mop.

Q: What kind of debris can it handle?

A: The Phantas is designed for commercial cleanliness standards:

  • Dry Debris: Dust, lint, crumbs, hair, and small paper scraps.
  • Wet Cleaning: It removes liquid spills, dried coffee spots, footprints, and light stains via its scrubbing mode.

Note: It is not designed for heavy industrial debris like metal shavings, pallets, or large construction waste.

2. Performance & Cleaning Capabilities

Q: How much area can the Phantas clean in a shift?

A: The Phantas is optimized for agility rather than massive scale. It typically cleans 4,000 to 7,000 square feet per hour depending on the complexity of the layout. It is ideal for facilities where maneuvering around desks, chairs, and displays is more important than open-field speed.

Q: How does the Phantas handle different cleaning modes?

A: The Phantas is unique because it integrates four cleaning modes in one chassis:

  • Scrubbing: Uses water and brushes for hard floors.
  • Vacuuming: For carpets or hard floors.
  • Sweeping: Captures loose debris.
  • Dust Mopping: For polishing and fine dust control. It can automatically detect floor types (e.g., switching from scrubbing hard floor to vacuuming carpet) without human intervention.

Q: Can it clean right up to edges and in narrow aisles?

A: Yes. The Phantas is famous for its "Zero-Distance" edge cleaning. Its side brushes extend to clean right up to baseboards and corners. Its compact body allows it to navigate aisles as narrow as 24 inches and clean under tables with adequate clearance.

3. Navigation & Operations

Q: How does the Phantas navigate and avoid obstacles?

A: The Phantas uses deep-learning AI combined with Lidar and 3D cameras. It excels in dynamic environments, easily detecting and avoiding small obstacles like power cords, shoes, dropped items, and glass walls. It moves smoothly around walking pedestrians without interrupting flow.

Q: Does it provide reports or cleaning data?

A: Yes. The Phantas logs coverage, runtime, water usage, and performance data. This allows facility managers to prove work was completed, optimize schedules, and support internal reporting on cleanliness and efficiency via the mobile app.

Q: How is charging handled?

A: A fully charged Phantas runs for several hours depending on the cleaning mode used.

  • Manual Charging: By default, the unit is plugged in manually using the power adapter.
  • Autonomous Charging: If you purchase the optional Charging Docking Station (sold separately), the robot will automatically return to the dock when the battery is low, recharge, and resume its task unattended.

Q: Can the Phantas robot open automatic doors by itself?

A: Yes. Phantas can integrate with compatible automatic doors via Gausium’s AutoPass / IoT solutions. When configured, the robot can send a signal to open doors as it approaches, enabling fully unmanned operation between areas.

Q: Can Phantas use elevators to move between floors?

A: Elevator integration is possible but not plug-and-play. Phantas can be connected to certain elevator systems through Gausium’s IoT ecosystem, but this requires project-specific integration with the building’s elevator control system and the elevator manufacturer, and is an additional cost.

Q: What is required to enable door or elevator integration?

A: Successful integration depends on:

  • Compatible door/elevator controllers
  • Network connectivity between the building system and Gausium’s IoT platform
  • A site-specific integration project with the building owner, elevator/door vendor, and Gausium or an authorized integrator.

4. Setup, Support & Training
